Cole joined the lab in fall 2022 and is working on the stickleback microbiome and the genetics of host-parasite coevolution. He completed his doctorate at the University of Montana in Missoula where he studied high altitude adaptation and variation in body composition in deer mice. Outside the lab Cole enjoys hiking and birding with his dog Pablo.
